What we keep, and how to remove it.
Last updated 10 October 2026.
Who is responsible
Earlie is run by Alex Bejan in Cluj‑Napoca, Romania. Questions and requests go to alex@wearewip.com. If you think we handled your data badly you can also complain to the Romanian supervisory authority (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro).
When you sign up on this site
You type your phone number in the box. We register that number with our messaging service so it can give you your own Earlie number, and we keep the number, the Earlie number assigned to you, the time and which version of this notice you saw. That is how we keep the list in order and know the text you send is yours. Registrations that never text us are removed after 48 hours.
If no spot is open you can leave your email and number instead. We keep those only to text or email you when a spot opens.
When you text the front desk
Earlie asks your first name, what you want Earlie for, your city, and whether you are 18 or over. We keep those four answers, your language, and the time you said yes. Nothing else: no surname, no address, no birthdate, no weight, no health details. If you mention a health matter in your answer, we keep only a one word category of your goal and drop the sentence. Earlie is for adults; if you say you are under 18 we delete your details right away. If you never reply yes, everything is purged after 7 days. The conversation itself is deleted 30 days after your last message.
When you are a client
Once you are let in, Earlie becomes your trainer in the same thread and asks, first, whether he may keep health details you share (weight, injuries, and so on). You can say no and still get a plan. Your messages, the photos you send, your log and, if you connect it, the Apple Health data you choose to share live in your own profile, separate from every other person's, and are deleted when you ask.
If you use the Earlie app
The Earlie app for iPhone only reads from Apple Health, and only the kinds of data you allow on Apple's own screen: your activity (such as steps, distance and energy), body measurements (such as weight and body fat), heart numbers (such as resting heart rate and heart rate variability), sleep (when you went to bed and woke up, how long you slept, and the sleep stages a watch records) and your workouts. It never writes to Apple Health. It sends what it reads straight to your own Earlie profile, where your coach, who uses AI, reads it to coach you. Nothing goes to advertisers or to anyone else. The app keeps no account and no copy on the phone beyond a note of when it last sent. Disconnect in the app, or remove Earlie in the Health app, and it stops at once.
If you send us your gym
The form for gym owners keeps what you write on our own server: the gym's name, city and link, your name, your email, your phone number if you give one, and your note. We use it only to answer you and to set up your gym in Earlie. The same details go to our issue tracker so the team can reply, with your phone number shortened to its last four digits. Email alex@wearewip.com and we delete them.
Who sees it
Your messages pass through a messaging service, which delivers iMessage and, when iMessage is unavailable, SMS or RCS (those two are not end to end encrypted), and through an AI service that writes the replies. Nothing is sold. To improve the service we review conversations, front desk ones included, and keep short notes about them in private tools: an issue tracker, a team chat, and a private code repository. Those notes use first names only and never your phone number. Backups are kept for up to 30 days.
Delete everything with one text
Write delete my data in your Earlie thread, at any point, and your number, your answers and the conversation are erased and confirmed to you. An email to alex@wearewip.com does the same, and can also remove you from the email list. You can ask for a copy of what we hold the same way.
